Gavin will be 10 months old on Thursday! TEN MONTHS!
Here are all the cute things he's doing:
- Saying "Bye-Bye" FIRST (and only...) WORD!!
- If you say "bye bye" he will wave at you
- If you say "Hi!" he will wave at you
- If I walk into the nursery at work he looks at his teacher and starts waving "bye bye" to her regardless of whether or not it's actually time to leave...
- If you are taking him towards the car he will wave at the car
- If you are strapping him in the car seat he flaps his arms like a bird while saying "bye bye bye bye bye bye" - a little ritual that could last the first 5 to 15 minutes of the car trip
Also...
- He claps - which he's done for a while - but my favorite is when he claps to the music
- His motor skills still amaze me. He stacks things...he LOVES his stacking rings. He also has a toy that you put the ball in the top of it and it makes a noise and the ball comes out the bottom. He did that probably 20 times in a row the other night. At any given time he's usually crawling around the house with a stacking ring in one hand and a ball from the toy previously mentioned in the other hand.
- He plays peek-a-boo very well. He will cover his face up with his blanket and patiently wait on you to say "Where's Gavin?" He throws off the blanket to reveal his smiling face and then laughs when you say "There he is!" and then he will cover his face again and you are trapped in a cycle for the next 10 minutes....
- He really digs story time (much to my delight). He laughs at certain parts of our regular books.
- He's "cruising".
- When you tell him "No" he shakes his head at you. Smart little devil...
- He bumps his head on everything! He's got the pulling up part figured out but the getting back down is a bit of a challenge. He basically just let's go of whatever he's holding on to and just falls.
